Penang Airport Terminal

Penang International Airport is the main international gateway to Penang, being the third busiest airport in Malaysia and consist of a single passenger terminal. 

From PEN Airport there are offered connections to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Jakarta, Medan, Hong Kong and Taipei, and other destinations in Asia. 

It is able to handle 6.5 million passengers per year and is equipped with two runways. 

Penang Airport Terminal is split into the following levels:

First level

Arrivals and transportation access to bus, taxi, shuttles, among others. The Sky bridged connects both levels and passengers can walk through it to board their flight. 

 

Second level

Departures and boarding level with 11 gates. 

 

Third level

Services and VIP lounges. 

 

Present & future

Penang Airport Terminal has already reached its maximum capacity and nowadays is experiencing congestion. In 2017, Malaysian Federal Government announced a terminal expansion to double its capacity, expecting to accommodate 12 million passengers by 2029.

Plaza Premium Lounge (International Departures): International area, third level. From 05:00h to 23:00h. Services: Premium food, Snacks, Wi-Fi, Flight monitors, Newspapers, Magazines, TV, Internet Terminals, Telephones. Please note it is a non-smoking facility. Entrance fee: 35€ (3 hours).

Plaza Premium Lounge (Domestic Departures): Domestic area, third level. From 05:00h to 23:00h. Services: Premium food, Snacks, Wi-Fi, Flight monitors, Newspapers, Magazines, TV, Internet Terminals, Telephones. Please note it is a non-smoking facility. Entrance fee: 35€ (3 hours).
